About trip difficulty
Easy — a relaxed pace, comfortable for all ages and fitness levels.
Moderate — longer days with more time on jungle trails and the water, which asks a little more of your body.
Brisa Tropical Adventures
Brisa Tropical Adventures offers all-inclusive eco-tours in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon, just outside Iquitos — the largest city in the world reachable only by air or river. We run guided tours from 1 to 7 days with daily departures and fully customizable itineraries — and custom trips can extend up to 14 days: peacock bass sport fishing, expert-led birding, rainforest camping near Pacaya-Samiria, guided jungle treks, and Iquitos city tours. Every package includes licensed bilingual guides, transport from Iquitos, fresh meals, and the gear listed in each tour's inclusions; lodge-based stays add a private room with jungle or river views.
All-inclusive, no hidden fees, starting from $175 per person (based on two or more travelers). The journey to the lodge is part of the adventure — a boat ride down the Amazon, a walk through a riverside village, and a second boat trip along the Yanayacu River that brings you deep into untouched rainforest. Whether you're an angler chasing trophy fish, a birder building your life list, a family seeking a once-in-a-lifetime trip, a couple on an anniversary getaway, or a solo traveler who wants the real Peru beyond the tourist trail, we build your trip around what matters to you.
Fully customized, private tours are our specialty — something very few operators in Iquitos offer. We tailor every detail to your dates, interests, and budget, and we love planning special occasions: honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays, proposals, graduations, and family, group, or corporate celebrations deep in the Amazon.

Our Amazon tours are all-inclusive, starting from $175 per person (based on two or more travelers) with no hidden fees. Every package covers licensed bilingual (English/Spanish) guides, round-trip transport from Iquitos, all meals and drinking water, and the gear listed in your tour's inclusions. When your tour includes a stay at the eco-lodge, you'll have a private bungalow with an en-suite bathroom. You just bring your personal items — and, if you'd like, a little cash for souvenirs.
Fly into Iquitos (airport code IQT) — the city is reachable only by air or river, not by road. From there we handle everything: roughly a 25-minute motokar ride to the port, about a 2-hour boat trip down the Amazon, a short 15-minute jungle walk through San Juan Village, and a final 20-minute boat ride along the Yanayacu River to the lodge — around 3 hours in total, all included.

Browse toursYes — fully customized, made-to-order tours are our specialty, and very few operators in Iquitos build a trip entirely around you. Tell us your dates, interests, budget, and pace, and we design a private, tailor-made Amazon itinerary, from a single day up to 14 days or more. We also love planning special occasions — honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays, proposals, graduations, and family, group, or corporate trips — with personalized touches along the way. Build a custom tourChoose from peacock bass sport fishing, expert-led birding (the region has more than 500 documented bird species), rainforest camping near the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve, guided jungle treks, and Iquitos city tours. Along the way you may spot wildlife like pink river dolphins, monkeys, caimans, and sloths; bird species such as macaws, toucans, and the prehistoric-looking hoatzin; and, for anglers, fish species including peacock bass, pacu, piranha, and the giant arapaima (paiche).
Explore excursionsThe Amazon is a year-round destination, and the best time depends on what you're after. The high-water (wet) season runs roughly December–May, when rising rivers carry boats deeper into the flooded forest. The low-water season, roughly June–November, exposes more trails and riverbanks and is the better window for sport fishing. Temperatures stay around 72–90°F with high humidity year-round, and a passing rain shower often leaves the air cool and the breeze refreshing. Tell us your interests and we'll recommend the best window.
You'll stay in a private bungalow with an en-suite bathroom and jungle or river views. Three traditional Amazonian meals are prepared fresh on-site each day, along with safe drinking water — all included. If you have dietary needs or allergies, let us know when you book and we'll do our best to accommodate them.
See accommodationsPower is available for charging your devices in the evening (about 6:00–9:30 PM), with Wi-Fi connected during a similar evening window. Signal this deep in the rainforest is limited by nature — most guests enjoy the chance to unplug — so we recommend bringing a power bank and downloading anything you'll want offline.
A trip to the Amazon is safe and comfortable with a little preparation. We recommend seeing a travel-medicine doctor 4–6 weeks before you fly; vaccines commonly advised for the region include Yellow Fever, Hepatitis A and B, Typhoid, and Tdap. Pack DEET insect repellent and light long sleeves — the lodge provides mosquito netting, keeps first-aid supplies on hand, and Iquitos hospitals are reachable by boat if ever needed.
Read Health & SafetyPack light, breathable clothing, a rain layer, sturdy footwear, insect repellent, sunscreen, and a hat. There are no ATMs at the lodge, so if you'd like to leave tips or buy drinks and souvenirs, we suggest bringing some cash in small denominations (Peruvian soles preferred) — it's a suggestion, not a requirement. Our full packing list walks through everything by category.
See the packing listOur trips suit anglers, birders, families, couples, and solo travelers alike. Activities range from relaxed boat outings to more active jungle treks, and your guide sets a sensible pace for the group, so a range of fitness levels is welcome. Traveling with children or have specific needs? Just tell us and we'll tailor the itinerary.
